Gwyl Gerdd Mechell 2010 cyfraniad i elusen SANDs

Cyflwynwyd siec o £5,000 i elusen SANDs yn ystod Ffair Mechell, dydd Sadwrn 31 Gorffennaf 2010. Nerys Owen a Linda Jones oedd y ddwy oedd yn cynrychioli'r elusen. Cafodd Eluned Jones sgwrs hir hefo nhw, a chael gwybod sut y bwriedir defnyddio'r arian. Maent yn prynu offer yn rheolaidd i'r ysbyty, pan fyddant yn gofyn am bethau fel Monitor gwrando ar galon babi cyn genedigaeth. Ar hyn o bryd, mae ystafell ar gyfer rhieni sydd wedi cael profedigaeth yn cael ei gwneud i fyny yn yr ysbyty, ac mae SANDs yn prynu offer megis gwely, dodrefn ac ati ar ei chyfer.

Roeddent yn ddiolchgar drosben am y rhodd, ac mae'n braf cael gwybod y bydd defnydd gwerthfawr yn cael ei wneud o'r arian. Byddwn yn derbyn llythyr o ddiolch, ac fe fydd llun a gwybodaeth yn cael eu rhoi ar eu gwefan nhw.

Gwyl Gerdd Mechell 2010 donation to the SANDs charity

A cheque for £5,000 was donated to the SANDs charity during Ffair Mechell, Saturday 31 July 2010. Nerys Owen and Linda Jones represented the charity. Eluned Jones had a lengthy chat with them, and was told how the money would be put to use. They regularly buy equipment for the hospital, such as Monitors to listen to the baby's heartbeat before birth. At the moment a room at the hospital for parents in their bereavement is undergoing improvements, and SANDs are purchasing equipment such as a bed, furniture and so on.

They were very thankful for the donation, and it is nice to know that the money will be put to valuable use. A letter of thanks will be received soon, and a photo and information will also appear on their website.

Wedi ei leoli yn y rhan Gogleddol o Ynys Mon, mae Llanfechell tua milltir o Fae Cemaes y pwynt mwyaf Gogleddol yng Nghymru. I’r Gogledd Ddwyrain mae Amlwch tref porthladd traddodiadol a Mynydd Parys yn enwog am ei Gopr. I’r Gogledd Orllewin mae’r man brydferth Llanfairynghornwy gyda’i olygfeydd o’r Mor Iwerddon. Ar ddiwrnod clir gellir gweld Iwerddon, Ynys Manaw a chopau yn y Lake District.

Situated in the Northern part of Yns Mon (Anglesey) LLanfechell lies approx 1mile from Cemaes Bay the most Northerly point in Wales. To the North East lies Amlwch a traditional sea port and the famous Copper mountain at Parys. To the South West the beauty spot of LLanfairgnhornwy with its views over the Irish Sea. Where on a clear day Ireland, the Isle of man and peaks in the Lake District are clearly visible.
